Team GB : European Championships 2021

The tournament was played across 3 ballparks in the Piedmont region between the 12th-19th September 2021, with team GB finishing in 6th place – the best finish since 2007.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the team and I were ‘bubbled’ in a hotel on the outskirts of Turin for the two weeks (1 week training / 1 week competition) of the championships. Living under these conditions and travelling with the team gave me unique access to the games, training and day to day lives of the athletes, coaches and surrounding staff. The artwork below captures moments of joy, sorrow, mending, learning and bonding, along with images travelling in Italy prior to and after the tournament.
